Wroclaw Eye Center was founded in March of 2000, by relocation of private medical practice of Jolanta Markuszewska MD, Ph.D., from Polonia Hotel in Wroclaw to 13 Piwna Street in Wroclaw. In June of 2010, new office of Wroclaw Eye Center has been opened at 33a Sienkiewicza Street in Wroclaw.
Since the very beginning (1992), dr Markuszewska has been offering the newest in specialistic eye care. As first in Wroclaw and one of the first on Poland from 1995 dr Markuszewska offers out-patient microsurgical procedures such as cataract phacoemulsyfication surgery, glaucoma surgery, strabismus surgery in children and adults and blepharoplastic surgery of the eye lids.
In the year 2000, the first Laser Vision Correction Clinic was created in Wroclaw and Lower Silesia. The main expertise of Wroclaw Eye Center became laser vision correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. The practice became a well know in Poland and abroad Clinic for Treatment of Eye Diseases and Disorders.
Since 2004, Wroclaw Eye Center offers services contracted by National Health Insurance program. In 2010, services are offered contracted by Private Insurance Carriers.
